As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Support the reservations team in handling incoming inquiries and booking requests.
• Provide information to potential guests regarding room availability, rates, and amenities.
• Accurately enter and update reservation details in the hotel’s reservation system.
• Assist in managing guest special requests, modifications, and cancellations.
• Learn techniques to promote additional services and packages to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain organized records of all reservations and ensure accuracy.
• Communicate guest preferences and special requests to relevant departments.
• Assist in delivering exceptional customer service to all guests.
• Support the team in processing deposits and prepayments.
• Assist in generating and reviewing reservation reports.
• Participate in training sessions to learn about the hotel’s reservation system and processes.
• Work collaboratively with the reservations team and other hotel departments.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong customer service orientation with a positive and welcoming demeanor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of reservation systems is a plus.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Basic problem-solving skills to address guest inquiries and issues.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
• Adherence to hotel grooming and appearance standards.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
