Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all equipment is installed and operated safely.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and the site to identify potential hazards.
  • Review installation standards and ensure full compliance with safety regulations.
  • Address health-related complaints and identify recurring hazards that require corrective action.
  • Analyze site operations and equipment performance to compile statistical data for accurate reporting.
  • Maintain and document safety records, meeting minutes, and reports for management.
  • Implement and enforce the companys safety policies and procedures on-site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of drilling and excavation activities.
  • Deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks to site personnel.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international health and safety legislation.
  • Prepare and submit safety reports to management on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

  • Arabic speaker candidates with experience in the UAE or Gulf region are preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Safety Officer in construction, drilling, or excavation projects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Certification in occupational health and safety (NEBOSH, OSHA, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly in emergency situations.
