Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Estimation:

  • Identify the bid requirement both technical and commercial to prepare a compliant bid.
  • Conduct site visit when required and consider any cost to be added to the tender. Understand the program of work and its requirements.
  • Prepare and submit a request for information to the client / consultant to clarify any discrepancies.
  • Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
  • Delegate draftsmen for quantity take off to cross-check the BOQ quantities and schedules.
  • Prepare and combine the cost estimate. Ensure the full scope is covered or proper qualification is included.
  • Attend pre / post tender meeting and capable to prepare a VE bid.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Estimation Manager.

Procurement:

  • Prepare requests for quotations to the suppliers / sub-contractors to obtain quotations.
  • Compare and negotiate the suppliers quotes to select the most competitive quote to be used in the rate build up.
